Schools reject 8-year-old boy because of his long hair, but his mother shouts at everyone’s mouth with strong post…

An 8-year-old boy named Farouk James is facing the possibility of being deprived of quality education due to strict school regulations that mandate a haircut. Despite offers from modeling agencies due to his impressive mane, James, who has made a living as a child model, has been rejected from several schools because of his long hair.

James’ mother, Bonnie Miller, explains that the family waited three years to cut his hair as per tradition, but the boy became attached to his long, beautiful hair. Miller believes that UK schools, which allow girls to have long hair but prohibit boys from doing so, violate children’s human rights.

Expressing her determination to challenge these rules, Bonnie wrote on Instagram, “I will not give up trying to persuade governments to put legislation in place to protect children from these outdated, punishing rules.”

She initiated a petition on Change.org to outlaw hair prejudice in the United Kingdom, naming the campaign “the Mane Generation.” Bonnie emphasizes that they will continue fighting until these rules are changed globally, not just domestically in the UK.

While James’ Instagram account, managed by his mother, has garnered a quarter of a million followers, it has also faced hateful comments. Bonnie has been vocal about her son’s right to keep his hair, asserting that it is a God-given part of him, and he will not cut it to appease anyone.

In addition to her son’s situation, Bonnie highlights that some schools prohibit students from wearing locks and dreadlocks, considering them racist. She advocates for a change in such regulations, emphasizing that her son’s hair is an integral part of who he is, and many school rules need to be re-evaluated and outlawed.
