The actor, who has resided in California for many years, revealed his relocation on Twitter.

The actor justified his decision by citing the city of Los Angeles’ growing homeless population. Despite having resided in Los Angeles for the last 45 years, it seems that the actor has had enough of the city.

He said on Twitter after 45 years, “After 45 years, I’m finally “exiting stage right’ from California.” According to the most recent Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority study, about 69,000 people will be homeless in L.A. County and 41,000 in the city by 2022.”

Many others weighed in on Baio’s decision to leave. Others sensed the actor’s determination. “Good for you, Scott,” one Twitter user replied. You and your family will be much happier as a result. You may also return if CA changes in the future.

“Wonderful, sir,” another Twitter user said. I hope you find a home where you and your family can be happy and comfortable. If you want it, there is still some room available in Texas. We would be delighted to have you here.”

While a second person added, echoing Baio’s sentiments, “Congratulations. We’ll be out of here if and when my son departs. I’ve been here since 1970, and it’s not in the same gorgeous condition it used to be.”

Others were less enthusiastic. “Considering you’ve never done anything to help out in the situation after getting wealthy off of us, we will be glad to see you go,” one angry Twitter user said. Another user shared their experience, writing, “Happy Californian here, especially knowing you’re leaving!”

Others made fun of the actor, with one user questioning, “With your lack of work over the last 20+ years, are you homeless?”

“You’ve been irrelevant for about 30 years; who cares?” Another individual chimed in.

“It’ll be easy to pack up your tent and shopping cart,” said another user, who was offended by his remark. “Because you’ve been out of work for 40 years as well!”

The 62-year-old actor has listed his Woodland Hills property for sale, demonstrating his seriousness. The home is valued at $3,85,000,000. This sprawling estate has five bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, a home theater, and 6,300 square feet of living space. In 2010, the home cost $1.85 million to purchase.

Scott Baio is just adding his name to the long list of Hollywood superstars who have moved away from California. Mark Wahlberg, Joe Rogan, and Matthew McConaughey are among the celebrities who have recently relocated from California.

McConaughey has said that he intends to return to Texas in December 2020, where he was born. His wish for his children to share his ‘values’ and grow up in a family environment was the primary motivator behind his choice to migrate.

Joe Rogan tried a similar tactic in August 2020. He moved his family to Los Angeles due to the “insane” traffic and excessive expense of living there. The well-known podcaster has also moved to Texas. Mark Wahlberg moved to Ohio in April 2021 after selling his Beverly Hills home for $30 million. The actor has relatives in the area and owns a Chevrolet dealership, which may have impacted his decision.
