Every family has their own Thanksgiving traditions, such as must-eat delicacies or volunteering, but for Seth Meyers, it means shooting his kids dressed as turkeys.
On Thursday evening, the 49-year-old comic recounted the time-honored family custom that includes his children—Ashe Olson, 7, Axel Strahl, 5, and Adelaide, 2—whom he shares with his wife Alexi Ashe on his late-night talk show series, Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Hilary and Larry Meyers, as well as his brother Josh Meyers, who had all appeared on the show as guests, joined Seth.
“We dress them up like turkeys, and they come in here, and we film them for like five minutes, and then we edit together a video of them dressed as turkeys,” he went on to say. “At some point, the kids will realize they don’t want to do this anymore, but for the time being, they’re very excited about the turkey clip.” We’re not sure when the turkeys will cease appearing. I cherish every moment with the turkeys since they are so ephemeral. “Like the life of a turkey, you never know when it will end.”

Seth joked that this year’s part was even better, owing to Adelaide’s additional year of experience.
“Addy was just a year old last year. He explained, “She was rolling around.” “She wasn’t throwing a lot of fastballs.” “Everything has shifted.”
Seth’s offspring can be seen flapping their wings and running about in the video, with Ashe and Axel appearing from behind the couch behind Adelaide to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving.
Seth and Alexi, both 40, initially met at the wedding of friend and former Saturday Night Live cast member Chris Kattan. Meyers and Fallon were engaged in July 2013, shortly after it was revealed that Meyers would take over as Late Night host from Jimmy Fallon. They married in an intimate ceremony two months later. Three years later, in 2016, they welcomed Ashe Olson, Axel Strahl in 2018, and Adelaide in 2021.
