Shannen Doherty of “Beverly Hills, 90210” disclosed Tuesday in an emotional Instagram video that her cancer had spread to her brain.

Doherty is shown in the film having radiation treatment with tears in her eyes. The star mentions in the video’s description on Instagram that she had her first session of radiation on January 12.

“It’s clear that I’m terrified.” I am extremely claustrophobic, and there was a lot going on in my life,” Doherty said in the comment before expressing gratitude to her physicians.

“But that fear, the turmoil, the timing of it all—this is what cancer can look like,” she went on to say.

Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, and it had spread to her lymph nodes by the following year, according to CBS News. According to the Associated Press, the actress was in remission by 2017, but three years later she revealed on “Good Morning America” that the disease had returned in stage four.

“I don’t think I’ve processed it yet.” In many respects, it’s a difficult pill to swallow,” she stated in 2020.
