She took photo of herself, then was shocked when saw something terrifying…

In the vast realm of the internet, there’s no shortage of “spooky” images, often claiming sightings of mysterious entities like Bigfoot, UFOs, or ghosts in the windows of old, dilapidated houses. While many of these photos may lack genuine fear factor, often attributed to chance camera blurs or creative Photoshop endeavors, some images defy explanation.

One such instance involves runner Kay Borleis, who stumbled upon something unsettling in a photo she took during her ambitious run through the Hawaiian jungle. The motivation behind enduring such a physically challenging task may be perplexing, but Kay reportedly ran five laps of a twenty-mile loop through dense jungle terrain as part of the 2019 Hawaiian Ultra Running Team Trail 100-Mile Endurance Run.

Accompanied by a guide named Cassie, who captured pictures of their journey, one particular image caught Kay’s attention. Initially appearing to depict Kay navigating through bushes on a muddy road, a closer look revealed something troubling. Kay shared the photo on Reddit, stating, “This picture was taken by my pacer.” She emphasized that the figure to the left of her head was not edited or manipulated. She expressed, “Look at the person in the picture to the left of my head. Along the path, there were no statues and no one ever came by. It looks real and wasn’t edited or made. This is real.”

Upon closer inspection, the image reveals what seems like a shadowy figure in disheveled clothing, watching Kay run. Despite her assurance that no one was physically present during the captured moment, Kay delved into the local legend surrounding the Hawaiian island. According to her, the island is believed to be haunted by entities known as Night Marchers—vengeful spirits of Hawaiian warriors, heroes, and soldiers from the past.

The lore suggests that mortals who encounter or are seen by these marchers may face a gruesome and violent demise. Kay mentioned, “Thank goodness we didn’t see the Night Marcher,” alluding to the ancient Hawaiian belief that showing respect, fear, and reverence by lying still on the ground and bowing down to the marchers could result in forgiveness and salvation.

The mysterious image and the eerie context surrounding the Hawaiian Night Marchers add a layer of intrigue and supernatural speculation to Kay’s already challenging run through the jungle.
