Lyn May, the attractive Chinese-Mexican showgirl who acted in almost 100 films and captivated presidents, had a surprising gift that changed her life.
In the early 1990s, a routine Botox session went horribly wrong, causing something else to drastically alter her look instead of the targeted procedure.
Lyn May may not be well-known to you, but she is a legend in Mexico. May, often known as “The Goddess of Love,” has an incredible personal story that is as compelling as her professional career.
This magnificent emblem of the Mexican film industry is renowned for its ability to attract audiences and seduce presidents. You won’t want to miss this extraordinary journey, so let’s begin.
Lyn May was born in 1952 under the name Lilia Guadalupe Mendiola Mayares. She is of Chinese ethnicity and initially came from Acapulco, Mexico.
She had to make financial sacrifices to support her family from a young age and learned that nothing desirable came free. She supplemented her family’s income as a kid by selling trinkets to tourists. As she grew older, she got a job as a waitress, which would forever change her life. She met her first real love while working at this job, an American sailor who was thirty years her senior.

Regardless of their age gap, the pair was irreconcilable. Lyn and her new husband moved to Mexico City and raised two kids together. However, five years later, Lyn filed for divorce, saying her husband had sexually and physically abused their children.
Lyn May relocated to Acapulco after divorcing her American husband and began working as a dancer. Lyn May was a stunning figure when she danced in a miniskirt, despite having no professional training.
What started as simple employment quickly turned into more profitable opportunities. She quickly rose to prominence on Mexican television after appearing on the popular show Siempre en Domingo. Lyn May became well-known throughout the area as a result of this program, which was one of Latin America’s most prominent and popular television series.
Enrique Lombardini, the renowned owner of the Teatro Esperanza Iris, got interested in her as she rose to notoriety. Lyn was first hesitant when he suggested she perform in his burlesque shows. When she didn’t entirely undress on stage, the audience mocked her, displaying her hesitation.

But Lyn acquired the burlesque appearance in just one week, and when she finally stripped off on stage, the audience shouted in delight. Wikipedia states that it enraged the male audience. Lombardini dubbed her “Lyn May: The Goddess of Love,” astonished by her power. She gained notoriety in the 1970s and 1980s in the Ficheras film genre, which portrayed amusing and occasionally provocative stories about working-class Mexicans embarking on sexual exploits.
Lyn May, on the other hand, rapidly faded into obscurity as Ficheras’ films lost popularity at the box office.
But she successfully returned to television in the late 1990s.

Lyn May’s outspoken manner always drew attention, whether she was making daring statements or doing stunning public activities.
She made cameo appearances in prominent television shows, documentaries, and music videos, reminding everyone of her unique charm that had made her famous.
Following the dissolution of her rocky marriage to her American husband, Lyn May resumed her love affair with millionaire Antonio Chi Su. Following their 1989 wedding, the couple co-owned and ran a Chinese restaurant in Mexico City. Despite their deep connection, Chi Su sadly received a prostate cancer diagnosis in 2004.
Chi Su died suddenly in 2008, after the pair bravely battled the cancer together for several years.
Desperation overtook Lyn May, leading her to resort to desperate measures to cope with her loss. She addressed shocking accusations about herself in an open interview on the show El Minuto Que Cambió Mi Destino. Lyn bravely stated that she had dug up her husband’s remains and transported them home, even sleeping next to his bones.

“I lived with him for 25 years; it was a 25-year marriage, and I didn’t want him to go. “I loved him…” “Yes, I dug him up and slept with him,” Lyn May said.
“My mother fought with me every day, saying, ‘You are not going to let him rest.'” We argued every day because I refused to let go of him.”
Her mother eventually persuaded Lyn to let go. Lyn May did not specify how long she lived with her husband’s body or how she eventually moved on.
Speaking of daring claims, Lyn May once claimed to have had an affair with a previous Mexican president, albeit she did not reveal his identity.
The president in question is believed to be José López Portillo, who was also said to have dated and subsequently married actress Sasha Montenegro.

Lyn May made news once more in August 2021, with an incredible announcement. The 68-year-old woman stated that she was expecting a kid, and her fiancé, Markos D1, 29, is believed to be the father.

However, it did not take long to learn that not everything was as it seemed. Shortly after becoming engaged to Markos D1 (actual name: Marcos Hernandez), Lyn May started to delete headlines about her engagement and pregnancy. Originally, Lyn May indicated that she intended to marry him.
Lyn May’s claim that her connection with Marcos was serious may have been inaccurate. The musician Markos, who lives in California, told Newsweek that he and Lyn May could only have become pregnant after one night of drinking.
“We never had an actual relationship,” he claimed. I was interested because I had traveled to Mexico to the Pepsi Center for an invited event. We drank. I drank so much that I can’t remember what occurred that night. It was just ridiculous.”
“She never told me anything. I was simply getting [messages] on Instagram saying, ‘Happy that you’re going to be a parent,’ and it just went wild.”
Marcos Hernandez then told Newsweek that he had spoken with Lyn May about the situation. According to Marcos, the Mexican dancer and actress acknowledged creating the pregnancy rumor as a promotional stunt for her upcoming farewell tour.
Lyn May is an exotic dancer and actress who has always given special attention to her appearance. Her mesmerizing beauty and ability to fascinate men are visible in these early photographs.
The pursuit of beauty, however, has not been without challenges. Lyn originally considered cosmetic surgery to enhance some features of her face, such as her jawline and cheekbones. However, a failed effort of hers bothers her even now.

According to OkChicas, a scam artist approached Lyn with the promise of rejuvenating her looks. She was young and naïve when she fell for the con artist’s ruse. Instead of the promised collagen injections, which are a popular and temporary therapy for reduced wrinkles and better skin, Lyn received injections of water, baby oil, or cooking oil.
The hideous lumps that still exist on her face today are the result. Lyn chose to undergo plastic surgery in her 30s in an attempt to reverse the damage. Unfortunately, things got worse before they improved. Although the surgeon was only able to remove a little amount of the oil that had stained Lyn’s face, the encounter served as a stinging reminder of her quest for beauty.
