When she was only three years old, Shirley Temple made her debut on the big screen. The biggest child celebrity in America during the Great Depression was Shirley, who tap-danced and sang her way to fame.
Unlike any other child star before her, the dimpled starlet attained global recognition. Shiley Temple was a much-loved and sadly missed person as a result of her passing in 2014 at the age of 85.

Temple’s publicist, Cheryl Kagan, made the announcement that the actress passed away at her Woodside, California, home. The loss of an American icon seemed to have shocked everyone when the news first broke.
Those who mourned her loss included Linda Susan, Charles Jr., and Lori, three of Temple’s children. John Agar, Temple’s ex-husband, and Charles Black, her late husband, were married and had three children together.
Temple decided to be the first in her class to get married when she was 17 and wed Army Air Corps sergeant John Argar. Argar was 24 years old when they got married.

But Argar couldn’t stand being in Temple’s shadow, and four years later, their union was over. A year after the couple welcomed their daughter, Linda Susan, they got divorced.
Temple got engaged to Hawaii-based Charles Black less than sixty-divorce days after her. After getting married, Temple stepped away from the spotlight to start a family with her husband.
Their daughter Lori was born in 1953, and their son Charles Jr. was born in 1952. Before Black passed away as the result of complications from a bone marrow condition, Temple and her husband had been married for 55 years.

Although Temple had lost her love, she was still very close to her children. Because of this, in a 2018 interview, her eldest daughter, Linda Susan, couldn’t help but praise her mom: “We were shopping and traveling companions.
Together, we visited a lot of places. She was a close friend of mine.

Children of Temple have expressed how much their mother’s nurturing presence has impacted their lives. Her son even revealed that she insisted on having dinner with all her kids at the table every night.
In contrast, Temple provided for her kids in ways other than just eating dinner with them every night. The legend was nevertheless so involved in her kids’ lives that she was able to support her daughter in regaining her sobriety.
The youngest daughter of Temple, Lori Temple, got involved in punk music in the 1980s and developed a heroin addiction. She allegedly used drugs twice while in the hospital but couldn’t stay clean because of her health.

Obtaining Lori’s sobriety once more, according to sources, was Temple’s top priority at the time. The mother of three paid for every step of her daughter’s rehabilitation paid frequent visits, and even joined her in therapy sessions.
Temple’s kids are still around to sing her praises. Her granddaughter, Teresa Caltabiano, was extremely complimentary of her late, well-known grandmother.

Linda Susan’s daughter, Caltabiano, who is Temple’s oldest child, wrote a kind holiday greeting to the actress this year. A letter from Caltabiano was included in one of the Google Doodles created in memory of the late actress.
