Tattoos are only one of many methods to display one’s personality. While some individuals opt for a small tattoo, others choose to adorn entire body parts. Tristan Weigelt, a 26-year-old tattoo apprentice covered in extreme body art, grabbed waves when he revealed his pre-tattooed appearance.

“It’s weird looking at myself without all the tattoos,” he told the Daily Star.
“But funnily enough, I still feel exactly the same as before on the inside.”
He compared the tattoos on his face and head to a metal brush scratch, describing them as the most painful. “It was six full-day sessions taking between five and six hours, and the pain was probably an eight out of 10.”

While many people acquire tattoos with specific meanings in mind, Weigelt claims there are no hidden messages or meanings behind his body art.

After five years, Weigelt had spent $50,000 on tattoos.
