Tebow said, “There is only one MVP, and he died on a Cross on a Rescue mission for humanity”

Former University of Florida Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback and Denver Broncos starter, Tim Tebow, recently received the Sports Impact Award at the K-LOVE Fan Awards. During his acceptance speech, Tebow passionately spoke about caring for the most vulnerable and proclaimed Jesus Christ as the only MVP.

Expressing gratitude to the crowd and presenters, Tebow infused humor by cracking jokes about the presenter’s marathon capabilities and wardrobe choices. He acknowledged the honor of being among legends and inspirations in the faith, like Toby Mack and Chris Tomlin.

Tebow shared a personal story about meeting a boy in the Philippines with backward feet, considered cursed by his village. This encounter shaped Tebow’s perspective on valuing the most vulnerable. Despite his pursuit of athletic excellence and championships, Tebow realized that the true MVP is one who defends the weak, protects the poor, and cares for those in pain.

He emphatically stated that there is only one MVP, referencing Jesus, who died on a cross on a rescue mission for humanity. Tebow urged the audience to follow God’s command to defend the weak, protect the poor, and help those in need.

In a previous speech at the March for Life in 2021, Tebow shared his pro-life stance, recounting his mother’s decision to give birth to him despite pressures to choose otherwise. He emphasized the importance of every life and asserted that Jesus stood for life, citing a mission to give life abundantly.

In 2020, at the Kansans for Life Valentine’s Day banquet, Tebow underscored the significance of saving lives, stating that it means more than winning a Super Bowl. Describing the work as a rescue mission, he emphasized the urgency to act immediately, as lives are at stake. Tebow concluded by stressing the need to live with a sense of urgency, as others may not have the luxury of time.
