The electricity is brought to her residence on a timetable; the network is “cut off” at six o’clock in the morning and then switched back on at eleven o’clock.

The power is shut off at 11 a.m. the following day and switched back on at 6 p.m.

“Because we only get electricity every other day, we filter water ahead of time so that we always have clean water.”

To do this, we pump water into large containers, which are then linked to a filter, shower, and toilet.

We ran out of water in the filter container one day; the pump burned out, and we had to filter out the rain.

Our home was still without power the following day. As a result, water was transported from the closest well in a cart drawn by oxen,” she remembers. ⠀

The lady is now a homemaker, caring for the house, her kids, and running the family.

She has also discovered a favorite activity: she regularly publishes on social media about her life in India.

Despite the lack of certain traditional amenities, this loving couple is quite happy.

“Everyone here is really different. “They adapt to literally anything, to any living situation,” Elya concludes.
