Terry Crews, co-star of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, pays heartfelt tribute to ‘irreplaceable’ Andre Braugher

Following the news that actor Andrew Braugher, 61, has died, tributes have begun to pour in.

Terry Crews, who co-starred in the comic cop show Brooklyn Nine-Nine with Andrew Braugher for nearly eight years, has published his own post on social media mourning his death.

Jennifer Allen, Braugher’s publicist, confirmed the actor’s death to Variety late Tuesday (December 12).

According to reports, he died on December 11 following a “brief illness.”

He is arguably best recognized for his role as Captain Ray Holt on the famous cop comedy TV program, and crews expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside him.

“I can’t believe you’re leaving so soon.” “I’m honored to have known you, laughed with you, worked with you, and spent eight glorious years admiring your irreplaceable talent,” Crews said on Instagram.

“This hurts,” he added. You were taken from us far too soon. You’ve taught me a lot. I will be eternally thankful for the opportunity to have known you.

“I appreciate your wisdom, advice, kindness, and friendship.” In this sad time, please accept my heartfelt condolences to your wife and family. You demonstrated what a well-lived life looks like.

“Andre, rest in peace.” Man, I adore you. #ninenine”

Fans of the program also expressed how they would watch the show differently now that he had passed away, and many left memorial messages for the actor.

“Oh, my gosh. This is heartbreaking. Terry, I am deeply sorry for your loss. “Sending love,” remarked one person.

“It is with deep sorrow that I receive the news of the passing of the now-eternal Captain Holt, from Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” wrote another member of the community.

“I remember watching this series on Netflix with my mother when she was still with us.” It was really beneficial to us during one of our most difficult times.

“I pray to God, with great respect for everyone’s beliefs, that he receives him in a good place.”

“So sad. On Brooklyn 99, he made my entire family giggle nonstop. Without him, the world is a colder place. “RIP, Andre,” said another.

“Such startling and heartbreaking news… He was a fantastic performer as well as a fantastic human being. I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with him a few times. We’ve lost a terrific one. “My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends,” Canadian actor Patrick Gallagher said in response to Crews’ message.
