The cause of death for Days of Our Lives star Nick Benedict, who died unexpectedly at the age of 77, has been revealed

Nick Benedict, 77, a soap opera actor, died abruptly, and the cause of death has not been confirmed.

According to an online obituary, the Days of Our Lives actor, who also appeared on All My Children and The Young and the Restless, died on July 14 in Arizona at the age of 77 due to complications after emergency spine surgery.

Jake’s Steakhouse, a restaurant in California where his wife of 22 years, Ginger, works as a bartender, also announced his death on Facebook. “Nick Benedict’s birthday was July 14th. He entered the presence of the Lord today. “Please say a prayer for Ginger,” the message said.

Prior to Nick’s death, the restaurant launched a GoFundMe effort to assist the couple with their financial needs. Nick had an “extreme medical issue” that caused Ginger to take time off work.

“Many of you have had the pleasure of meeting Ginger, the bartender at Jake’s Steakhouse. She has worked with us for a long time.” According to the fundraising page, “she has taken a leave of absence from us to deal with a serious medical issue with her husband Nick.”

“Nick Benedict served in the Navy as a painter, singer, and actor.” Ginger and Nick have been married for 22 years.” Both have a lengthy history in the Tehachapi community.

“On July 2, Nick underwent emergency spinal cord surgery. On July 4th, he was taken to the hospice. He is paralyzed from the neck down. He will need continual care and attention.”

“They live in Arizona, and Ginger travels back and forth,” the article went on to say. “To say this is a stressful situation is an understatement.” We’d want to gather funds to cover bills, food, and any unforeseen medical expenses. Please pray for Ginger and Nick as they go through this difficult time.”

Many individuals, including a cinematographer who worked with Nick on All My Children, have paid homage to the soap opera icon. Nick and I are the same age; he is an amazing person. Like any other male, he hung out with the crew. Nick, you helped make work more pleasurable.

“We have known Ginger and Nick for 19 years, ever since they moved to Bear Valley,” another individual remarked. They were always a lot of fun to be around and such an important part of the community. I’m very sorry.”

From 1973 through 1978, Nick played Phil Brent, the husband of Susan Lucci’s Erica Kane on All My Children. He made his Days of Our Lives debut in 1993 as Curtis Reed after previously playing Michael Scott on The Young and the Restless from 1981 to 1983. In 2001, he quit the program.

Additionally, he made appearances in the original Mission Impossible and Hawaii Five-O series, Entourage, The Fall Guy, The Dukes of Hazzard, Knots Landing, Medical Center, and Tales from the Darkside.
