The dad spent eight months in the basement for the sake of his kids. He made them a playground, which turned out to be a work of art

Jared, a father of four, found out how to transform his basement into a playroom for children, says Metro. The playground where his children might play was too far away, but the young father found a solution. The guy is a mechanical engineer in manufacturing; therefore, he is quite familiar with hammers, nails, and numerous designs.

As a result, Jared created a series of two-story wooden cottages linked by a bridge. The construction’s proportions were appropriate for little children and fit into the basement space, so there were no issues during building. He began work after purchasing all of the required materials, which included wooden planks and logs.

For eight months, the guy spent his weekends creating, making his dream a reality. Naturally, he carefully disguised this surprise from the children, and his wife informed the kids that he was abroad on business to allay their fears. By the way, Jared claims that while working, he felt like a kid and was homesick for his youth.

As a kid, I always wanted to make fantastic wooden forts. But I never did it the way I pictured it. And now that I’m a father who enjoys woodworking, I’ve finally been able to build what I’ve always wanted.

Jared was able to build a mini-fortress that practically every youngster fantasizes about as a child. By the way, the guy spent just $500 (31 thousand rubles) on the whole project, but the structure seems to be much more costly. Naturally, the children were overjoyed when their father showed them what he had done for them in the basement of the home. And he is pleased that his strategy came to fruition.
