When the owner of an Airbnb with a Harry Potter theme discovered that guests had completely trashed the house, she became distraught.
Sharing the damage on TikTok, the owner, who goes by the username homelea.stays, appears to run a series of rental properties in Watford, allowing fans visiting Warner Bros Studios’ popular The Making of Harry Potter tourist attraction to immerse themselves in the Wizarding World for the duration of their trip.
However, in a recent update, the owner was horrified to see that the home had been thoroughly wrecked by previous guests and was in serious need of some supernatural cleaning assistance.
The viral video, which has been seen 5.5 million times, shows crushed cups, ‘bleach’ thrown over a television and one of the mattresses fully coated with dark stains.
“A few days ago I walked into my Airbnb to clean it, only to walk into the most horrific scene ever,” according to the narrator.

“Someone has flipped our Airbnb upside down and ruined the entire house.
“Everything is out of order; bleach has spilled all over the television and destroyed it.
“Frozen chips on the floor, Fanta splashes on the walls and windowsill.”
The distraught owner stated, “We designed this for families and children.” “Now we have had to close it down until it is safe.”
The damage upset viewers, with numerous users especially concerned about the source of the dark spots on the mattress.
“Please tell me you have reported this to police; that’s criminal damage,” one person remarked, while another added, “I thought this was the crime scene cleanup channel when I saw the bed.”
“I thought it was a crime scene cleaning page; I’m so sorry they did this,” a third individual said.

In a follow-up video, homelea.stays emphasized that the visitor in issue rented the apartment through Booking.com rather than Airbnb, since the rental is accessible for booking on both platforms.
“Had this guest come from Airbnb, they would have had a profile, and if the ratings were bad, we of course wouldn’t have gone ahead with the booking.” They made it clear.
The user also provided the guest’s name, postcode, and booking reference and reported the damage to Hertfordshire Police.
The user also clarified the origins of the scary brown stuff on the bed, stating that it was generated by a mixture of ‘coffee and coca butter’ rather than blood or human fluids, as people had previously believed.
@homelea.stays *ai voice over* The most heartbreaking thing, how someone can be so cruel to do this to a place which was thoughtfully made to make young children smile. I am disappointed @Booking.com did absolutely nothing about this, we have been hosting with them for years! Had this happened on @airbnb I am 100% certain they would have taken full action! #airbnbfinds #placestostay #PlacesToVisit #harrypotterfan #fyp #watford #londontiktok #londonhotspots #londonlife #harrypotter #airbnbexperience #hogwartsairbnb #magicalstay #harrypotterstay #wizardingworld #harrypottertiktok #harrypotteredit #warnerbrosstudioharrypotter #harrypotterairbnb ♬ som original – Shelby Company
