Wildfires in California have caused over 100,000 people to flee their homes, including some of Hollywood’s greatest stars.

The governor of the American state issued a state of emergency after a wildfire grew out of control and swept around Los Angeles.

Strong winds aided the fire’s spread, destroying homes and scorching the soil.

According to the BBC, there are currently at least six wildfires, including one that has spread into the Los Angeles Pacific Palisades neighborhood.

Known for housing numerous celebrities, the neighborhood caught fire on Tuesday night (7 January), forcing them to flee.

The Associated Press reports that more than 1,000 structures have sustained damage and at least five people have died.

Wind gusts of up to 70 mph aided the fires, forcing residents in the vicinity to flee the nightmarish conditions that had arrived in their picturesque neighborhoods.

This made it impossible for planes to resist the fire from above, which started on Wednesday morning (8 January).

Firefighters are still battling the conditions that destroyed several celebrities’ homes, leaving them homeless.

Except for the tennis courts, the actor’s home from When Harry Met Sally is completely demolished.

The actor who portrays Luke Skywalker disclosed that a ‘last-minute’ evacuation compelled him to flee his Malibu home, noting that he observed small flames on ‘both sides of the road.’

As he approached the Pacific Coast Highway, he observed that it was the most catastrophic fire in over 30 years.

The Freaky Friday actress left her house for her own protection.
She said on Instagram, “My community, and possibly my home, is on fire.”

Curtis continued: “My family is protected. Several of my friends will lose their houses. Several other communities will also experience the impact.

In an update, she stated that her home was safe.

Hilton resorted to Twitter to grieve the loss of her Malibu house, writing, “Heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and witnessing our Malibu house burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to go through.

“This home is where we made so many beautiful memories. Phoenix took his first steps there, and we hoped to make lifelong memories with London.

“Although the loss is overwhelming, I am grateful that my family is safe.” My thoughts and prayers go out to every family touched by the flames.

“To everyone who has lost their homes, memories, and cherished pets,” My heart goes out to those who are still in danger or have lost loved ones.
