The sight of a lone soldier at the cemetery was enough to send shivers down my spine. But what unfolded next, captured by the camera, was truly chilling…

Soldiers are among the bravest individuals globally, often risking their lives for their country without expecting anything in return. It’s always a somber moment when one of them passes away prematurely. Arlington National Cemetery, spanning 624 acres and dating back to the Civil War, stands as a testament to their sacrifice, with countless white headstones marking the resting places of fallen soldiers.

Since the Civil War era, “Taps” has been a poignant part of military ceremonies, especially during funerals, honoring soldiers with its solemn melody. In the video below, SSG Jesse Tubb performs the tune on a serene summer day, while SSG Drew Fremder plays it amidst a snowy backdrop. The buglers of The United States Army Band, known as “Pershing’s Own,” carry out over 5000 missions annually in Arlington National Cemetery, paying tribute to the fallen.
