Goldberg joined the roster of The View as a host and moderator in 2007 and has been a regular on the talk program ever since. On Wednesday’s program (November 13), the group commemorated Goldberg’s 69th birthday with a series of games and talks devoted to the Oscar-winning actor. One episode featured the Ghost Star standing behind a wheel of cheese with her face on it.
“I always wanted my face on cheese,” Haines explained. Goldberg replied to her co-host, expressing her preference for occasional eating. The studio gasped, laughed, and clapped all at once at the insinuation as Haines humorously walked away, stunned by Goldberg’s X-rated revelation. Realizing what she had done, the 69-year-old said, “Never mind. This is a 24-month-matured wheel of authentic Parmigiano Reggiano from Italy, exemplifying Italian tradition and excellence.

Haines, struggling to retain her composure, hugged Goldberg as she returned to the stage, as the audience watched in bewilderment. “If you want a chance to win a wheel like this one,” Goldberg said, before Haines interjected, “And eat Whoopi Goldberg!” Going along with the joke, the comic remarked, “That’s correct! “No, and eat yourself!” Goldberg startled many of her followers earlier this year when she revealed where she dispersed her mother’s ashes. In her memoir, the TV presenter said that she learned her mother had died while performing in a West End production of Sister Act the Musical.
During an interview on Late Night with Seth Myers, Goldberg discussed the “special” manner in which she said goodbye to her mother, cautioning the audience that “no one should do this.” She went on to claim she chose to disperse her mother’s ashes at a place she ‘liked’. Goldberg said that she scattered her loved one’s ashes in Disneyland. She went on, “When I was a youngster, the World’s Fair was here, and it was the debut of Small World. And she adored Small World.”So, in the SmalTherefore, occasionally, I would pretend to sneeze and scoop a portion of her during the Small World ride. is cold is getting worse and worse.'”Then we went over to the flowers labeled ‘Disneyland’. And I said, ‘Oh, look at that.’ [Cue another fake sneeze.]”
