This guy bought rickety houseboat and turned it into floating castle

The young carpenter embarked on a remarkable project to surprise everyone by transforming an old decommissioned barge into a floating palace.

Initially met with skepticism and laughter from friends who saw only a rusty wreck, the determined young man used his last savings to purchase the barge. Despite initial doubts about buying a small apartment, financial constraints led him to the idea of converting the barge into a unique living space.

Undeterred, he acquired materials for interior decoration from his dacha, requiring only paint and a few tools to commence the transformation. The first step involved refurbishing the metal frame, addressing rust issues, repairing holes, and applying a fresh coat of paint.

Moving to the interior, the young carpenter took on the challenge of insulation and added mini windows for a scenic sea view. The bedroom, albeit small, exuded coziness and originality, featuring a bed that transformed into a wardrobe during the day, accompanied by sconces providing subdued lighting.

The kitchen, strategically placed to retain existing wiring and plumbing, showcased the carpenter’s resourcefulness. Adjacent to the kitchen, a compact living area boasted a soft sofa and a foldable table, demonstrating the young man’s multifaceted skills in carpentry and plumbing.

With the majority of the work completed by his own hands, the carpenter proceeded to craft a convertible roof. This innovative addition allowed for open-roof enjoyment during clear weather, ensuring a seamless transition to a closed space in wind or rain.

Upon completion, the houseboat was gracefully lowered into the water, earning admiration from onlookers. The updated barge resembled a floating palace both externally and internally, fulfilling the young man’s dream of embarking on sea voyages with the comfort of home.
