The Met wanted to strike a balance between structure and innovation while preserving the exhibition’s cultural richness and historical relevance.

In an interview with E! News, Shakira lauded designer Prabal Gurung for knowing women’s bodies and tailoring the gown to her form. “He’s a wonderful designer who understands women’s bodies really well,” she told me. “So the clothes fit like a glove almost instantly, but we did have, like, three fittings.”
