Tiger Woods and his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, amazed people with their ‘relationship’ at the PNC Championship

Tiger Woods and his ex-wife Elin Nordegren continue to support one another—and their son Charlie!

The former couple, who divorced in 2010 after six years of marriage, recently hugged each other in joy after Tiger and Charlie Woods, 15, finished second at the PNC Championship on Sunday, December 22.

An unexpected public display of affection between Woods, 48, and Nordegren, 44, that went viral on social media, accentuated the occasion even though the father-son team lost the golf competition to Bernhard Langer and his son Jason.

Charlie also scored a significant triumph on the tournament’s fourth hole, hitting his first hole-in-one right in front of his golf hero father.

The PGA Tour tweeted footage of the occasion, as well as the fact that Charlie’s shot occurred on a par-3 hole and went 176 feet for the ace. He used a 7-iron, and the ball landed approximately 6 feet from the hole and rolled into the cup.

Following the shot, the senior Woods warmly embraced his son, and the two were all smiles.

Charlie told the Golf Channel after his milestone golf moment, “It was a perfect 7-iron, so I just kind of hit it.”

“Down to the left, there’s a small cut.” It was wonderful. “I don’t believe anyone until I go up there and see it,” he said.

The PNC Championship was really a family affair, as Woods and Nordegren’s 17-year-old daughter Sam served as her father’s caddy for the event, having made her caddie debut at last year’s tournament.

Tiger has consistently stated that he is “excited” to play golf with his son. “Charlie clearly enjoys spending time on the golf course with his father,” a source close to Woods told PEOPLE in 2020. “It’s a definite bonding activity for the two of them.”

Tiger and Charlie competed in their first PNC Championship back in 2020. “I don’t think words can describe it,” Tiger said at the time. The fact that Charlie and I were able to share this experience together creates memories that will last a lifetime.
