Most of us are aware that Tom Selleck is a guy with strong ideals, moral character, and compassion. For those unfamiliar with the on-screen legend or for those who need a refresher, it appears that Selleck went out of his way to make the end of last year memorable for one lucky server.

The restaurant business was particularly heavily struck by the Corona outbreak, as most people are aware. Many businesses were forced to close and dismiss employees, while those that remained in business battled valiantly to stay in business. As a result, in 2020, a program dubbed “Tip Challenge” was launched to assist restaurant staff.
The tradition gained popularity after celebrities such as Donnie Wahlberg left a $2,020 tip on a $35.27 bill at one of his favorite restaurants in Massachusetts.

It should also be noted that Donnie did not make a big fuss about his enormous gratuity; rather, the restaurant made it public.

However, it appears that Donnie’s friend and coworker Tom Selleck had an influence.

According to rumors, the Blue Bloods star left a $2,020 tip for a waiter during a lunch at a restaurant in New York towards the end of 2020.

Blue Bloods co-star Donnie Wahlberg reported Tom’s philanthropic move on Twitter, writing: “I found out that my TV dad, Tom Selleck, has generously accepted the #2020TipChallenge at Elios Upper East Side!” “I love you, Dad.”
Selleck never mentioned the tip to Donnie, who learned about it through another source.

“Tom never mentioned it to me,” he explains. “We’ve done three [Blue Bloods] dinner scenes since he did it, and he’s never told me.”

To match his buddy’s act of kindness, Tom’s message to his lucky waiter read: “For Elios, I am honoring my friend Donnie Wahlberg’s ‘tip challenge’ with my sincere hope for a better 2020.” Thank you very much.”

I’m not sure about you, but I think this is the kind of news I wanted to see today.

The world has become a weird place this year, but we must not lose faith as long as we maintain our ideals and remember that we shall emerge stronger on the other side.
