The Dalton Daily Citizen reported a week ago that a woman from Georgia known for her “beautiful grin” and “sass” had suffered life-threatening injuries while competing in a wagon event in Tennessee.
Breanna Chadwick, age 20, sustained injuries while participating in the event, according to the Murray County Fire Department. The incident occurred when a horse ran into a gate.
According to a post that was made on social media by the student’s sister, Kirstin Chadwick, the Reinhardt University student was sent to a hospital in Chattanooga after the incident that occurred.
She penned the words, “Lord, Please Pray for My Sister Breanna Chadwick,” and included them in her letter. ” She was engaged in a terrible accident earlier today. We could use as many prayers as you can send her way right now.
They are airlifting her to Erlanger Hospital, and the attending physicians have counseled her family to brace themselves for the worst.”
According to the obituary for her, Chadwick passed away on Friday as a result of the injuries she sustained.
According to what was written in her obituary, “She always had a stunning smile and was full of sass.”
“Whenever someone was looking for her, they typically found her at Chick-fil-A ordering a lemonade or at Bruster’s ordering a single scoop of birthday cake ice cream.
She had many interests and pursuits that she was passionate about, including the color teal, her Jeep, her dog Lily, and her pet peanut, but her family and friends were her top priorities.”
The text goes on to say that she participated in several sports during her childhood, including softball, basketball, and lacrosse, and that she was currently studying education at Reinhardt University.
“She had a soft spot in her heart for the little ones, and they did the same for her. Over the course of many years, she will continue to have an influence on the lives of countless people.”
The Murray County Fire Department did not provide a straight response to PEOPLE’s inquiry that was made on Wednesday.
The Murray County Saddle Club, the location where the tragedy took place, did not quickly react to people’s requests for a statement after they made them.
Following the disaster, the club announced in a statement on Facebook that it had held a candlelight vigil for Chadwick.
The following statement was made in the article: “After many tears and much contemplation, we spoke with a member of the Chadwick family.” “They can choose whether or not they want the acts to continue and march.
In memory of Breanna Chadwick, there will be a vigil with lighting conducted tonight. Additionally, ribbons will be made available for anyone who would like to wear one during the parade as well as any of the other shows that will take place during the week.”
The message read, “In the coming days, let us all bow our heads and remember this young lady and her family.”
A GoFundMe page has been created in Chadwick’s family’s honor in order to collect monetary contributions for the purpose of endowing a scholarship in Chadwick’s name and contributing to the costs of her funeral service…
