Lily Tomlin, a celebrated actress in Hollywood, once kept the person she loved the most hidden from the public eye.

With a career spanning decades, Tomlin gained fame in the late 1960s through various comedy sketch shows and variety series. In recent years, she starred alongside her longtime collaborator Jane Fonda in the popular Netflix series “Grace and Frankie.”

Although marriage wasn’t initially a priority for them, they eventually tied the knot in December 2013 after waiting 45 years. Tomlin explained that they decided to get married after same-sex marriage became legal, prompted in part by persistent questions from the media.

The couple opted for a private ceremony at a friend’s house, keeping their marriage certificate low-key and avoiding media attention.
