WATCH: Mike Myers is back on Saturday Night Live as Elon Musk and channels his iconic Austin Powers character, Dr. Evil

Mike Myers returned to Saturday Night Live as Elon Musk, with a special homage to one of his most renowned film personas.

During the March 8 episode of the late-night comedy sketch series, which featured Lady Gaga as both host and musical guest, Myers, 61, reprised his parody of Tesla CEO during the show’s Cold Open, after doing so the previous weekend.

Taking aim at the recent reported confrontation between Musk, 53, Marco Rubio, and other political figures at the White House, James Austin Johnson’s portrayal of Donald Trump and Marcello Hernandez’s portrayal of Rubio engaged in a heated debate about Musk’s role in the politician’s administration, culminating in Myers’ appearance onscreen to a thunderous round of applause.

“I can’t believe you gave this person access to the entire government.” He’s not an elected official,” Hernandez’s Rubio said, before he and Myers resumed to fight. But when Johnson’s Trump became embroiled in their feud, the camera swooped in on Myers, who provided a voiceover as Musk.

“Phase one of my strategy is complete: ingratiate yourself with the president and dominate the media. But was picking this job a terrible decision?” A lot of people seem to really hate me, like, Tesla stock is crashing, and my personal net worth just dropped by 100 billion dollars,” Myers added, placing his pinky to his lips, copying a notorious action done by his legendary Austin Powers character, Dr. Evil.

SNL’s political spoof also referenced events that occurred when Trump, 78, appeared before Congress on March 4, boasting of his administration’s successes in his first days in office.

Early in his speech, Trump compared himself to George Washington, the first President of the United States, saying, without citing a source, “It has been stated by many that the first month of our presidency… is the most successful in the history of our nation.”

Trump subsequently attacked his predecessor, Joe Biden, stating that “egg prices are out of control” as a result of him, before laying out a litany of spending, primarily to foreign countries, that he labeled “appalling waste”—including “$8 million for making mice transgender.” (This was something Republican Representative Nancy Mace slammed at a subcommittee meeting in February.)

The politician also said that the United States will acquire Greenland “one way or another” and that his government intends to travel to Mars.
