When his family found out where he spent his first paycheck, they couldn’t believe their eyes

Pavin Smith, a baseball player, signed a deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks at the age of just 21 and received a $5 million bonus.

Given his relative youth and lack of life experience, it wouldn’t be too weird to see him spend money on expensive vehicles, a few villas, or perhaps even invest in some subpar companies that would later collapse and burn.

However, originally, none of these actions were shown by Pavin. Instead, he eliminated the entire debt by paying off his parents’ mortgage.

The first baseman also sent a touching Christmas letter to his parents, saying that he did it as a gift for them.

Additionally, a video was taken of their responses. Inside Edition quoted Pavin’s letter as saying:

“Thank you for giving me a lovely, loving home to grow up in. I want our family home to be yours because of all the sacrifices you’ve made to get me where I am.

Paying off his parents’ mortgage, Pavin added, “couldn’t even begin to repay everything they’ve done for me over the years.”

What an amazing young dude!

While the majority of us probably wouldn’t be as charitable as Pavin—I mean, who has that amount of money lying around?

We can all agree that this is unquestionably a kind deed.
