Dennis has been spending all of his free time in the backyard for the past three months. The man made an effort to keep people out and wouldn’t reveal what he was doing. The fascinated and now somewhat alarmed wife nonetheless made the decision to investigate. She went to the backyard late at night and noticed that a muted light was emerging from the earth and that voices were being heard. Dennis and Anastasia got married four years ago. The family constructed a home together; the father owned his own business, and Dennis insisted on a big lawn free of any structures.

We lived like we were in a fairy tale for the first three years. Dennis had a solid income, and he frequently traveled and took holidays. Then, everything abruptly changed. Eventually, the woman’s endurance simply ran out. At that point, Anastasia was explicitly forbidden from following Dennis since he was spending all of his free time in the backyard. Dennis had also erected a small fence. Anastasia walked to the backyard while waiting for the following evening and took the lamp, but Dennis was nowhere to be seen. However, she suddenly noticed a scattering of light peeping through the dirt and heard incomprehensible voices. I drew nearer and simply could not believe what I saw. There was a mound in the yard’s corner with a door; the hatch was ajar, and light could be seen within. I heard voices, but I’m not sure who they were.

I called my husband loudly and down a few stairs,” Anastasia recounts. Dennis came in front of Anastasia a minute later, holding several tools. The man was initially quite upset, but when he noticed his wife’s worry, he made the decision to allay her concerns and explain what was going on. It turns out that Dennis began construction on an actual subterranean bunker in his backyard about a year ago, just in case. He kept his wife in the dark while his interest in building evolved over time.

The voices turned out to be a radio program that Dennis listened to while working, and the light that Anastasia saw came from the bunker’s already-installed lighting in the walls. Dennis decided that the bunker didn’t need to be so securely camouflaged after speaking with his wife.

Dennis continues to work on the interior of the bunker to this day, as seen in a film the guy made regarding the building of the shelter. True, the man has now turned the shelter into his own personal retreat, complete with a plasma TV mounted on the wall and a set-top box.
