Recently, I accidentally witnessed an interesting situation in line at the payment office for housing repairs. A man in line reacted very strongly to the cashier woman’s outraged words.
Such situations are not uncommon… Unfortunately, working with people is always difficult.
But what interested me more were his comments about her ‘paws’ right before my eyes, which supposedly hindered her vision and made her rude. At first, I didn’t understand what he meant, but when it was my turn, everything became clear.
Sitting in front of me was an older woman, with deeply pronounced wrinkles, bags under her eyes, and huge artificial eyelashes.
Honestly, such a sight is off-putting. Neglected face and artificial lashes. And it’s not the first time I’ve seen something like this. I wonder, who are we ‘sculpting clay’ on our eyes for? Why cover up all the beauty of our eyes?

When I posted a photo with artificial hair, many were outraged:
‘It’s so obvious! How can you wear such things! Horrible!’
But can’t anyone see your eyelashes? Or do you still think those ‘spiders’ or ‘caterpillars’ add charm to you?
Men have long seen and understood everything, and you can no longer surprise anyone, but you can easily make them laugh. I really don’t understand who needs such monstrous eyelashes that can be seen from a mile away.
I asked the masters: don’t you see what you’re sticking on clients? Where’s the correction of the gaze? The masters say that women themselves ask for these ‘caterpillars’ or ‘spiders’ on their eyes.
Look at photos of older women. None of them have these dragonflies on their eyelids. You should understand that you have relief! This will create additional shadow around the eyes, and if it’s not smooth there, it will only get worse.

For example, a client came to me with such ‘caterpillars’, and I spent a long time explaining to her why shadows wouldn’t be visible. Her eye wasn’t even visible.
Another example: a woman with advanced rosacea and swelling around her eyes. It’s a terrible sight, the feeling of heavy eyes that no cosmetics can open.
I refused to serve such clients. I’m not a plastic surgeon, but a makeup artist. My goal is to reveal beauty, not search for it among ridiculous eyelashes.
I really want women to love themselves more and if they decide to extend their eyelashes, to do it naturally and with the correct gaze correction.”
