Worldwide, famous musician dies at 70

Tito Jackson sent a heartfelt Instagram message in the days leading up to his death.

Confirmation of the Jackson 5 star’s death at the age of 70 came yesterday (September 15).

Tito’s death came as a surprise to his family, with his children posting an emotional letter online to communicate the news.

His sons TJ, Taj, and Taryll said on Instagram, “It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson, is no longer with us.”

“We are astonished, upset, and grieved. Our father was an excellent man who was concerned about everyone’s well-being.”

According to Tito’s social media, the singer was still performing in the days preceding his death and had just been to Munich, Germany, with his siblings Jackie, Jermaine, and Marlon.

While there, the band went to see a painting dedicated to their late brother and Jackson 5 bandmate, Michael.

Tito, whose full name was Toriano Adaryll Jackson, shared a photo of them visiting the mural on Instagram four days ago, writing: “Before our concert in Munich, my brothers Jackie, Marlon, and I visited the wonderful tribute dedicated to our great brother, Michael Jackson.” We are appreciative of this wonderful spot that respects not only his memories but also our common legacy. “Thank you for keeping his spirit alive.”

People have been quick to extend their condolences to Tito’s family following his death.
