10-year-old Bjarne showcased his amazing vocals on The Voice by singing ‘Someone You Loved’

During his The Voice audition, Bjarne—who was only 10 years old at the time—performed a rendition of Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved.” The child’s voice was incredible during his blind audition for The Voice Kids Germany last month. With a pet rabbit in his arms, the seemingly naive young man took the stage, but his voice revealed his senior age.

Bjarne opened the song with a rich bottom register before soaring into a stunning high range. The first judge hit his buzzer before Bjarne could even begin singing the chorus, sparking a wild jubilation among the singer’s family members gathered onstage. By the time the kid finished the chorus, all four judges had sat down to cheer him on, making sure he would not go unnoticed.

But Bjarne had much more up his sleeve. He threw his entire being into the last note before the bridge, rendering Judge Lena Meyer-Landrut speechless and unable to lift her mouth from the ground for some time. His voice had “sounds that are like those from heaven,” as she would later explain.

The young man had just amazed everyone during his audition. After the show, the judges came onto the stage to give Bjarne high fives, and Meyer-Landrut embraced him, squealing with delight. The momentous occasion filled the little singer and his proud mother with emotion. Later on, the judge, Álvaro Soler, played the piano, and Bjarne and Soler sang a duet of Tom Odell’s “Another Love Song.”
