12-year-old Lauren Thalia impresses with her heavenly voice and brave attitude in ‘Turn My Swag On’

Lauren Thalia, 12, took the judges by surprise during her audition for Britain’s Got Talent. Despite Simon Cowell describing Alexa Goddard’s vocals as “posh,” the kid decided to play “Turn My Swag On.” The judges were impressed by the innocent small child’s performance of such a gangster tune.

Lauren brought a huge guitar, and while she might use some work on the instrument, her voice is wonderful as is. The schoolgirl began singing in an R&B manner evocative of a small angel before unleashing a boss-like rap verse. Her song about earning money by rolling around the neighborhood was quite cute.

Lauren’s audition gained 30 million views on YouTube. Her use of a “gangsta song” impressed Judge Carmen Electra, who stated that she slayed the stage. Alesha Dixon, a spitting bar expert, says, “You’re adorable.” When you sing about swinging, you sound pretty sweet. That was perfect.

David Walliams compared her to “very small Alanis Morissette” and called her a “little angel.” Simon Cowell, on the other hand, loved her forward-thinking musical tastes. He went on to say that he appreciated her trying out the guitar on the tune, even though she wasn’t yet a professional. “Because you’re posh and talking about swag, it’s even better,” he said. That’s cool. Lauren continued her unique musical selection in the semi-finals by playing Labrinth’s “Earthquake.”.

Lauren went offstage for a euphoric embrace with her mother as the judges handed her four yes votes after they finished speaking. Lauren advanced to the semifinals, where the judges gave her plenty of positive remarks before removing her.

A year after her debut on Britain’s Got Talent season six, Lauren released her EP Wonderland, which had three original songs. She released the song “Your Light” the next year, in 2014. Along with her performances on Britain’s Got Talent, she launched a YouTube channel where she shared cover versions of songs, guitar lessons for her rendition of “Turn My Swag On,” and other musical tales.
