Bruce Springsteen has seen and done everything over his storied career, and now he can add ‘falling over mid-concert’ to the list.
According to reports, the 73-year-old fell on the current leg of his tour in the Netherlands over the weekend.
According to Radar Online, the Born to Run actor was mid-set at Amsterdam’s Johan Cruyff Arena when he misstepped on his way back onto the stage and ended up lying flat on his back, much to the dismay of his crowd.
Springsteen and the E Street Band were playing his 2020 hit “Ghosts” at the time of the event. A neighboring stage manager even had to pull the Thunder Road singer back to his feet.

Springsteen, being the natural performer that he is, quickly made light of the situation, saying, “Goodnight, everybody!” before collecting his guitar and starting the act.
According to accounts, the New Jersey-born superstar did not suffer any significant injuries as a result of the accident, but concertgoers expressed real worry.
“Oh no!” commented one enthusiast. That effort to get up reminded me that the boss is an elderly man!”
“Bruce Springsteen took a nasty fall during a concert in Amsterdam on Saturday but was able to finish the rest of the concert,” said another.
“Did anyone see Bruce Springsteen fall on stage? He very easily could have broken an ankle. Sh*t happens; it’s life,” a third person said.

Luckily, it seems that Springsteen escaped long-term harm. He not only finished the concert in Amsterdam, but he also performed in Edinburgh yesterday.
Springsteen will go to Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Norway, and Switzerland before returning to the United States in August.
