There is little doubt that the most protective mothers come from the wild.

They are rightfully protecting their young from harm from other wild creatures. We live in a crazy world, but that is how things are.

In this video from a safari drive in Sri Lanka, we watch a mother elephant go into full protective mode.

A mother elephant and her kid were visiting a drinking hole at Sri Lanka’s Safari Park.

“When this mother found out there was a crocodile in the small pond she had come to drink from with her calf, she quickly drove it out to ensure her small calf wasn’t in danger.” (Instagram)

We had previously witnessed recordings of elephants stomping crocodiles to death, so the crocodile was fortunate.
