Oksana Kobletskaya, a resident of Odessa, Ukraine, was ecstatic when she discovered she was pregnant.

The 36-year-old woman already had a three-year-old daughter, and she and her husband, Sergey, were excited to welcome another family member.

However, what they believed would be a typical pregnancy turned out to be a stunning twist that stunned people all around the world.

Oksana and Sergey had never meant to have a large family; they had decided that two children would be enough.

They just did not have the resources to sustain further children, the couple acknowledged.

Even in the early stages of her pregnancy, Oksana felt she was carrying more than one kid.

She couldn’t help but notice that something was odd.

“Nobody in our family had ever gotten pregnant with twins. “I was sure I’d never experience anything like this,” Oksana tells German news outlet Heftig.

But this was just the beginning, as there was a larger surprise to be unveiled…

When Oksana went to her ultrasound, she noticed the doctor frowning.

She immediately received fantastic news.

“When I saw the shock on the doctor’s face, my heart stopped for a moment,” Oksana adds, adding:

“Then I heard him mumble something along the lines of: ‘You deserve to have a big house by the sea…'”

The doctor then explained, “I see five or six fetuses. It’s difficult to tell.”

Oksana was really expecting five kids.

As you may undoubtedly understand, this is quite uncommon. Quintuplets occur in just one out of every 47 458 321 pregnancies.

While Oksana was still processing the news, the doctor rushed around the hospital, almost euphoric. Nobody in the hospital has ever seen anything like that.

However, Oksana’s and Sergey’s faces were not all smiles.

“It almost felt like a nightmare, as though I would wake up at any moment,” Oksana tells me.

She and her husband couldn’t help but worry, realizing that they would have to rethink all of their future plans.

“It takes time to comprehend this type of news. “I mean, how would we manage to care for so many children?” asks spouse Sergey.

Oksana went to the hospital during her 30th week of pregnancy to prepare for the birth.

When she entered the delivery room, eight physicians were waiting for her.

“They treated me like I was made of porcelain—they were extremely cautious,” Oksana tells us.

Oksana gave birth to three boys and two daughters by a C-section.

The physicians were prepared for the worst, as this type of pregnancy involves significant dangers.

But, in the end, the physicians could establish that five healthy, happy infants had been born, albeit a bit prematurely.

Babies Daria, Alexandra, Denis, Vladislav, and David became immediate superstars.

Today, the babies are three years old.

The delivery was historic, since the infants were the first quintuplets born in Ukraine, according to The Mirror.

Oksana and Sergey appear to have welcomed the task of caring for such a large brood.

Wherever they walk, people stop and welcome them cheerfully, delighted by the infants.
