A court battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt over the vineyard they co-owned reveals some shocking details…

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s relationship appears to be becoming increasingly heated.

The two Hollywood giants had been together for nearly a decade but were only married for two years.

Jolie filed for divorce in 2016, alleging Pitt was violent to her and their children on a trip from France to California earlier that year.

Pitt has always refuted the charges against him.

In 2019, a court declared the couple legally single, despite their ongoing divorce proceedings that don’t seem to be ending anytime soon.

Their ongoing court disputes mostly concern custody of their six children (all of whom are 16 or older), their estate, and their French vineyard, Chateau Miraval.

In 2008, the former celebrity couple purchased the winery together, and Jolie later sold her share to a Russian tycoon’s Stoli Group subsidiary.

According to Pitt, 60, this violated their agreement not to sell their vineyard interests without each other’s approval, while Jolie, 49, claims that this arrangement never existed.

Pitt went on to sue his ex for selling her interest, and the case is still ongoing.

Last Thursday, Jolie’s attorneys filed new court records in Los Angeles County Superior Court, accusing Ad Astra star Pitt of trying to persuade their client to sign a $8.5 million non-disclosure agreement.

According to the documents acquired by PEOPLE, Jolie’s counsel claimed that she was not acting with malice or purpose to harm Pitt in reaction to any custody order.

Pitt allegedly refused to acquire her vineyard share until he received his newly enlarged NDA, enforced by a $8.5 million holdback, specifically designed to force her to remain silent about his assault and cover-up.

Jolie’s counsel also stated that “While Pitt presents what is an archaic privacy-of-domestic-violence argument to cloak his abuse, his position is not the law, at least not in this century, and he references no authority that would grant him such excessive rights.

“In any event, he waived any privacy protections when he sued Jolie.”
Court documents obtained by UNILAD reveal that Pitt’s legal team maintains the NDA ‘had nothing to do with the divorce or the children’, despite reports linking it to Jolie’s alleged abuse and citing it as the actress’ reason for deciding to sell a stake in the winery to a third party.

The question remains whether Jolie genuinely withdrew from discussions with Pitt because of the NDA he sought.
