According to Dolly Parton, she won’t eat anything that Miley Cyrus has made. You won’t believe why…

Dolly Parton and Miley Cyrus have a well-known friendship. They sing together, make each other laugh, and recently co-hosted “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party.”

But when it comes to food, Parton has stated that she will not eat anything her renowned goddaughter prepares.

Parton spoke with Insider on Zoom about her new line of Southern delights with Duncan Hines, and she was delighted to discuss Cyrus’ culinary approach.

“I doubt I’d eat much of anything Miley cooks because it’d have no taste,” Parton said.

“Even if she cooked me something, I’m sure I’d have to doctor it up a little for myself,” she continued. “I would need some bacon grease.”

Parton, in addition to being a country music legend, is a culinary whiz who likes making anything from mac and cheese to the perfect plate of scrambled eggs.

Parton previously told Insider that she used to like creating traditional Southern dishes for Cyrus, such as meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and a “big ol’ hunk of cornbread.”

“Miley’s trying to watch what she eats right now — she’s gone through a lot of phases of being vegetarian, vegan, or whatever,” Parton said. “But in the earlier days, or when her defenses are down, we still eat that good ol’ food like meatloaf.”

Parton recently told Insider that she and Cyrus don’t cook together as often as they used to, but she’s still happy for her goddaughter to sample her new Duncan Hines goodies, which include brownie, biscuit, and cornbread mixes.

And every weekend, Parton still prepares a traditional Southern breakfast for her husband of 55 years, Carl Dean.

While eggs are usually featured in Parton’s Southern breakfasts, she says she’ll vary the menu.

“I just cook whatever comes to mind and what I’m in the mood for,” she explained. “I can cook any of it.”
