Adam Levine and Kate Hudson are having a high school reunion!
The 45-year-old Running Point actor is going to appear on Season 27 of The Voice as a combat counselor for Maroon 5 frontman, 45.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday, March 4, Levine discussed having Hudson join Team Adam on the reality competition series.
When asked if he was aware of Hudson’s singing abilities, the “This Love” artist said, “She’s so obnoxious. She can, like, do anything.
“I’ve known Adam since high school!” said the How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days actress.
When asked if she knew Johnny was going to be a “rock star,” Hudson paused before replying.

“Yeah! He adored it. His first band was usually performing somewhere. It’s incredible to watch his accomplishment and then to be here doing this with him; it seems both familiar and bizarre at the same time,” she remarked.
Hudson’s genre-blending first album, Glorious, will be published in May of 2024.
Glorious, created in collaboration with Linda Perry of the 4 Non Blondes, Johan Carlsson, and her fiancé Danny Fujikawa, has been a long time coming for Hudson, who has always been enthusiastic about music.
“When it comes to talking about where this album comes from, the years I’ve spent quietly making music and living inside the songs, I’m not sure I’ll be able to stop talking about it,” she said in an April 20, 2024, statement. “I’m just thrilled so many smart people want to talk to me about Glorious—and the process of making my first record.”
In a May 2024 cover story for PEOPLE, the Glass Onion actress discussed finally seeking rock fame.

“Music was my first love,” she said. “It’s really a lifetime in the making.”
Hudson’s early success propelled him to the forefront of the acting world.
“So going and making a record or pursuing music took a very far back seat to what was happening in my career at the time,” she told me, “but I never lost sight of what I love.”
Hudson eventually realized that not making an album would be a “great regret” for her.
“Sticking to the status quo is not how I’ve ever lived my life,” remarked the actress. “I’ve always made brave decisions in relationships and work, but this was my biggest fear. It was as if something in my head clicked, and I said, ‘I’m simply going to do it. F— it.'”
The blind auditions for The Voice ended on Monday, March 3, and the battle rounds will begin on Monday, March 10, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
