The adopted youngster accused of posing as a 22-year-old woman has provided a significant life update.
We all know Natalia Grace, the Ukrainian orphan who reportedly attempted to kill her adoptive parents over a decade ago.
In 2023, the disturbing docuseries The Curious Case of Natalia Grace about the effects of Natalia’s adoption debuted.
Kristine and Michael Barnett, husband and wife, welcomed a six-year-old into their Indiana home in the United States in 2010.
However, just months later, the Barnett family claimed she was an ‘adult psychopath posing as a kid’ who reportedly attempted to murder them.
“She tried to poison and kill my wife,” Michael stated. “One night, I opened my eyes, and Natalia was standing at the foot of the bed with a knife in her hand.”
Their biological kid, Jake, stated, “I definitely didn’t feel safe around Natalia.”
To flee, the pair abandoned Natalia in a Lafayette apartment in 2013 and relocated to Canada.
Although Natalia has consistently refuted all allegations made against her, the health testing company TruDiagnostic officially changed her age in 2012 and determined that she was approximately 22 years old.
Later, authorities charged the Barnetts with negligence, but they later retracted the accusations.
After making news a few years back, Natalia has offered a new update in the upcoming season three of her docuseries, The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter.
Natalia currently lives in upstate New York with Nicole DePaul, 49, and her husband Vince, 51, both of whom have dwarfism. In 2009, the couple tried to adopt her but faced rejection.
“At first, it was challenging because the Mans were still involved,” Nicole told People. “They were continually calling Natalia and attempting to bring her back inside.
“She has also never committed any aggressive acts.
“Our dogs adore her and sleep with her.” I am an animal lover.”I wouldn’t leave her if I didn’t have my children with her. They also make character judgments.”
“We’re trying to guide Natalia, not control her,” Vince told the publication. “She’s so nice. “She wouldn’t harm a fly.”
Natalia has been in treatment to deal with previous trauma and is currently training to be a teacher one day.
The first episode of The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter will run on Investigation Discovery on January 6, followed by three more episodes.
