The courage of a 10-year-old boy who stood up for himself after being bullied because of his “Iron Man” costume has gone viral.
A week ago, Evan Struckman, Jill, dressed up as Tony Stark for a Halloween event for Struckman’s son at his Missouri school. She took pictures of the child and posted them on Facebook so that their family and friends could see them.
According to Jill, Evan adores being dressed up, and he was especially happy on that particular day. Evan’s Halloween costume was terrific, and he did an excellent job at portraying the role.
He practically sprinted to the school bus on Halloween morning because he was so excited to be going to school dressed as Tony Stark.
The boy’s joy, however, was short-lived and swiftly replaced with guilt when he boarded the school bus and was told by his classmates that “he looked foolish.”

Jill stated that she received a phone call from the school alerting her that her son was in the office and that other pupils had treated him unfairly. Her kid had boarded the bus twenty minutes earlier when she received the call.
Jill stated that it was the first time she had ever witnessed his tiniest kid get so emotionally upset as a result of anything uttered by another person.
Jill was welcomed by an extremely upset Evan when she picked up her child from school.
She decided to disclose the incident publicly on Facebook in order to draw attention to the negative consequences of abuse, and she did so by publishing a photo of the child looking terribly depressed.
“Here’s what my little Tony Stark looks like today; both of our eyes are puffy from weeping, and we are now on our way to the grocery store in search of ice cream,” she joked.
Children must be made aware that their words can cause hurt.” After leaving the house, the mother and son went to Starbucks to talk about what had happened and how Evan was doing.
Jill stated that Evan was aware of his good looks, but he let what the other kids said to get to him.
She comforted him and told him he looked great before asking him if he wanted to return so he wouldn’t miss the celebration. The young man said, “Sure.”

Evan was back to his confident self in less than an hour after Jill touched up his makeup. The mother noted that the culprits had apologized to Evan and that the school had disciplined them.
Jill reflected on the incident, saying that she had never been prouder of Evan for returning to school and keeping his head held high despite the terrible insults directed at him.
Evan was able to learn from this as well. He told his mother that he would never become the type of youngster who would intentionally hurt the feelings of others.
The mother of four hopes Evan’s experiences will serve as a teaching opportunity for other families and their children.
Jill has reacted to individuals who have offered to donate money by stating that Evan does not require it. She encouraged them to donate to a charitable organization or do another act of kindness instead of acquiring the item.
