After facing accusations of making a ‘Nazi salute’ at a Trump rally, Elon Musk speaks out…

Following accusations that he delivered a “Nazi salute” during Donald Trump’s inauguration, Elon Musk has spoken out.

Donald Trump took office as the 47th President of the United States on Monday, January 20, beginning his second term in 2021.

During his inauguration speech, the President made some promises, claiming that the ‘golden era of America starts’ with his administration.

However, during his inauguration celebration, Tesla CEO and SpaceX founder Musk appeared to do a ‘Nazi salute’ at Washington’s Capital One Arena, prior to the Inauguration Day Parade.

The 53-year-old looked ecstatic at the possibility of sending a man to Mars to plant an American flag, as he banged his chest and extended his right arm into the air.

The wealthy internet magnate wrote, “Thank you for making it happen. Thank you; my heart goes out to you,” before returning to the crowd and repeating the strange motion toward the American flag.

The motion stirred uproar online, with many interpreting it as a fascist salute or ‘odd-looking,’ including CNN anchors Erin Burnett and Kasie Hunt, according to The Independent.

Hunt described the move as “evocative of things we have seen throughout history” and “not something you typically see at American rallies.”

Others on Twitter accused Musk of making a ‘Sieg Heil’ that was ‘obvious as day,’ while others claimed the action was unjustifiable and couldn’t have been a mistake or accident because he ‘did it twice.’.

The Anti-Defamation League, an anti-Semitism watchdog, has subsequently supported Musk, stating on Twitter: “It appears that [Musk] made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute, but again, we appreciate that people are on edge.”

The statement said, “This is a difficult moment. It is a fresh day, yet many people are on edge. Our politics are tense, and social media simply adds to the stress.

At this point, all sides should breathe and show each other grace, possibly even the benefit of the doubt. This marks a new beginning. Let us pray for healing and strive for togetherness in the next months and years.

US Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded to the New York-based organization, saying, “Just to be clear, you are defending a Heil Hitler salute that was performed and repeated for emphasis and clarity.”

“People can no longer consider you a reliable source of information. You work for them. Thank you for making that plain to everyone.”

What has Elon Musk stated about the gesture?

Musk appears to have responded to the outrage, stating that Ocasio-Cortez has ‘just 100 percent lost her marbles.”.

“Can we please stop calling people Nazis?” exclaimed another user. It didn’t work during the election, and it doesn’t work now; it’s weary, monotonous, and old stuff; you’ve worn out its effect; people are no longer horrified by it; the wolf has been screamed too many times.”

Musk replied with a ‘yep, precisely’ and a yawn emoji.

“Frankly, they need better dirty tricks,” he replied in a follow-up. “The “Everybody is Hitler” attack is so tired.”

Musk was also the focus of a social media conversation earlier in the day when Trump spoke about America’s aim of sending a person to Mars, to which Musk responded with an enthusiastic thumbs up next to a less-than-impressed Barron Trump.
