After going missing for 8 years, Rudy Farias is finally found. His family wrote, “It broke our hearts to see him in this condition”

Losing a family member is an unquestionably difficult situation. After losing his father and subsequently his brother, Rudolph “Rudy” Farias IV’s life spiraled out of control. Rudy’s father, a Houston Police officer, sadly committed suicide in 2014 after an internal affairs ticket-rigging probe.

Rudolph Farias III had served for 21 years before dying while still dressed in his uniform. According to reports, the cop was asked to turn up his badge, along with three other police officers, only a few hours before committing suicide. The Farias brood soon lost another family member.

Rudy would lose the person he was closest to in the world not long after losing his father. Rudy and his older brother, Charles Uresti, had grown up together. Brenda Paradise, a private investigator hired by the family, said that Rudy had seen far more death than anybody his age ought to see.

When the family recovered the two dogs, they realized something was wrong and began looking for Rudy.

Rudy lost his brother, Charles, in a motorcycle accident around the beginning of 2015. Rudy and his mother, Janie Santana, were the first to arrive at the accident scene, and he allegedly watched his brother pass directly in front of him. Rudy became depressed since the loss of his father was still vivid in his mind.

His mother called his funeral “the worst day of my life,” and his family mourned Charles’s passing. Rudy began wearing a pendant that had belonged to Charles in order to keep a portion of his brother and closest friend near him. Rudy would gradually become increasingly melancholy and anxious over the following few months.

Rudy went on a stroll with his dogs shortly after burying his sibling and never returned. Rudy got his dogs’ leashes, put on his shoes, and took the two pups for a stroll on March 6, 2015. The teen was last seen at 6:30 p.m. on a Friday. The two dogs eventually returned to the house on their own.

Rudy’s relatives stated that, despite his return, he was in “pretty bad shape.”

When the family recovered the two dogs, they realized something was wrong and began looking for Rudy. In a description of Rudy, his mother stated that he experienced PTSD as well as sadness and anxiety. She also said that he could have been disoriented since he hadn’t taken his medicine.

Rudy, then 17, was dressed in jeans, a black t-shirt, brown sneakers, and the Scapular he had saved after his brother died. Police launched a search for the kid immediately after he was reported missing, but called it off on March 10 to gather more information and coordinate the investigation.

On March 12, officials resumed their search for Rudy, but a day later they called off all efforts to find the adolescent. The Houston Police Department concluded that no foul play was suspected and praised all of the volunteers who had hiked through rain-soaked fields in search of Rudy.

Despite the fact that the official hunt for Rudy had ended, his family continued to post notifications of his disappearance wherever they could. Rudy’s right leg had been wounded years previously, and he walks with a minor limp, according to the family’s advertisements. The notes also indicated that the youngster was asthmatic and without an inhaler.

There will be little evidence of the young guy over the following eight years. A lead would come now and then, or someone would claim to have seen him, but nothing ever brought Rudy’s family back to him. Despite the odds, Rudy’s mother, Janie, never gave up hope of locating her son.

Many people might have given up after losing sight of someone they cared about for eight years, but Janie’s perseverance paid off in the end. The mother allegedly talked to ABC13 after a 911 tip led her and a team of cops to Rudy, seated on the steps of a church. Rudy was discovered on Thursday, June 29th.

Janie also stated that Rudy was really battered when they picked him up. The now-25-year-old was covered in old and new bruises; there was dried blood in his hair; he appeared emaciated, having lost a lot of weight; and he refused to talk, according to his mother. Rudy’s family was overjoyed to see him again and said on Facebook, IT’S HE!!!” Rudy IS ONE OF US. Rudy Farias IV HAS BEEN FOUND, IS ALIVE, AND IS CURRENTLY IN THE HOSPITAL. “HE’LL BE IN THE HOSPITAL FOR A WHILE!”

Rudy’s relatives stated that, despite his return, he was in “pretty bad shape.” Soft tissue tumors, many wounds, swelling, and tiny holes on the soles of his feet characterize him. It was painful for them to witness someone they care about change so radically. His physical and mental well-being is being closely monitored by his family.

Rudy is now communicating with only a few words here and there. He has clearly been abused over the past few years, and his family disclosed that he is fearful, flinching anytime someone approaches him as though he is terrified of being struck. Janie is currently by his side as he heals in the hospital.

Rudy appears to be unaware of his true identity as well. The young guy believes he is Julio Torres, a 14-year-old child. Doctors have encouraged his family not to correct him at this time, advising them to allow him to recuperate before focusing on some of the mental damage he still suffers from.

Given Rudy’s refusal to communicate openly, the family still has many unanswered concerns regarding what happened the night he disappeared and where he has been for the previous eight years. His relatives said, “IT BROKE OUR HEARTS TO SEE HIM IN THIS CONDITION.”
