A homeowner has revealed a scary message from the former owner of the property they recently moved into.
It’s not commonplace to leave something nice, such as a glass of fizz or perhaps some chocolate, for folks who are moving into the property you recently sold.
However, arriving at a new house and discovering a threatening note instead of a bottle of wine is the last thing you want to encounter during the joyous time of moving in.
“Found this note taped under a panel in this storage cabinet; previous owner just trolling me?” the anonymous Reddit user asked in a now-viral post.

One side of the note says, ‘Don’t check under the floor,’ while the other side bears a 14-digit code.
The Reddit user submitted a photo of the message to the popular social media site in the hopes of receiving some plausible answers, and the new homeowner was not short of them.
“14 digits… Coordinates? Is there a safety deposit box involved? What is the hidden safe combination, and how does “alphabet coordination with each number” work? a Redditor inquired.
Meanwhile, a second person offered their own thorough idea, stating, “This is unusual.
“In the 1990s, Toronto Library card numbers began with 290 and were 14 digits long, much like yours.” They have since updated their card numbers.”
The statement continued, “I know this because I have a flair for memorizing strings of numbers. Pi is 3.14159265358979.
“My username is really the prefix from my old Toronto Public Library card. Notice how it likewise begins with 290.
“I think under the cabinet are old library books associated with a library card from the 90s Toronto Public Library card system, that you have a note listing.”

A third person commented, “So, from experience, someone is trolling.” I used to work in an office of 8, but 7 were out in the field and only came in once a week.
“I used to leave little notes like this all over the place just for fun.” “I was young and dumb at the time.”
And a fourth wrote, “Trolling. He finds it amusing to observe you tearing up the floor.
“Do not worry about it. If it bothers you, knock on the floor; if it sounds different from the rest of the floor or the joists, you can waste your time.”
