Al Pacino and his youngest son may not live together, but they have found a way to interact.
Speaking to the BBC about his book Sonny Boy, the 84-year-old actor revealed that he enjoys being a father to his 16-month-old son Roman, whom he co-parents with ex-Noor Alfallah. The Godfather star claims that being a parent again at the age of 83 has been “extraordinary” and that he’s discovered a few things the two can do together.
Pacino and Alfallah are no longer together, so the actor has discovered new methods to contact his kid.
“He does text me from time to time,” adds Pacino.
“You know, I have a tiny person. “Everything he does is interesting to me,” Pacino says. “So, we discuss. I play the harmonica with him, and we’ve created this type of interaction. So it’s fun.”
Pacino asserts that his youngest son inspired him to write an autobiography, but he also expresses a desire to be present for Roman’s significant life events.
“Now, I want to be there for this child.” “Of course I do,” Pacino responds. But things happen. I hope I am. I hope I stay healthy and he understands who his father is.”
The New York Times asked Pacino in an interview which movie Roman should watch to understand his father’s acting abilities. “I think he should start with Adam Sandler’s,” the celebrity stated, alluding to the 2011 comedy Jack and Jill, in which he appeared in a Dunkin Donuts commercial.
“I believe that is humorous.” It arrived at a crucial moment in my life, as I realized I had run out of money,” Pacino said. “With my accountant imprisoned, I urgently needed something, so I took this.”
“In that film, I portrayed a Dunkin’ Donuts advertisement.” How many people actually believe that I produced that commercial? “I mean, it’s just so unfair,” he added.
Pacino and Alfallah welcomed Roman in June 2023. Before Roman’s birth, an insider told people how excited the actor was to become a parent again. “Al loves being a father and always has,” they stated. “He is excited.”
According to the source, “Being a parent is and always was an important part of Al’s life.”
