Everybody has times when their pain is too much to bear. But when we need fresh gifts the most, God has a way of surprising us with them.
A Young Girl Who Preferred Music Over Academics
When Diana was four years old, she began to play the piano. She would skip school to play music since she liked it so much. She remarked, “I used to sneak off to school and play the piano instead of doing my work.” Diana’s family reprimanded her for skipping class, but she couldn’t resist playing the piano. Her dream of studying music at the Royal Academy never materialized. Because the RAF had a band, Diana decided to join them. That choice irrevocably altered her life.

At first, I love Phil and D.
Iana and they were both members of the RAF band when they first met. She expressed that they fell in love instantly. They frequented a restaurant called the Nappy so frequently that the waiters reserved a special table for them. “You can’t sit there,” employees would say to other patrons. That belongs to Diana and Phil.
In 1958, they were married. “We only had eyes for each other,” Diana recalled, referring to Phil as “a very kind man.”
Diana felt lost after Phil passed away. “To be honest, I don’t remember much about that first year without him,” she remarked. This sensation is familiar to many people who lose their spouse.

When She Found Solace in Music
Diana went to her piano one evening because she was feeling really depressed. Without giving it any thought, she began to play. “I had only a dream. I was improvising while dreaming on the piano. “Somehow, a song emerged from that,” she clarified.
Diana was stunned by what transpired next. Really, I simply went along with it. I never imagined that I would ever be able to make music, but all of a sudden I discovered that I could.

Finding a Gift She Was Aware She had.
She found she could write music at the age of 87. Writing this song altered Diana’s perspective on her life. I recognized that I was working on something, which made me feel different. “I had the impression that the beginning was not the end,” she remarked.
“Dreams” became her go-to song for solace and remembrance of Phil.
Gaining Self-Belief She Had Never had.
Like Phil doubted his photography, Diana had always questioned her ability to play music. She said, “I never thought that I was truly good enough.” Although Phil was an excellent photographer, he never considered himself the best. Diana thought about Phil as she performed “Dreams” for the first time. “I believe he would like it and be really proud. In fact, I believe he would adore it,” she remarked.

You can always pursue your goals at any age. Diana wants others to be aware of something significant. “As I am living my dreams at my age, I would like to encourage others to never give up on theirs.” She demonstrates that God still gives us new purposes as we become older.
Our worst suffering can be transformed into something lovely by God. He never wastes our hurt, as Diana’s tale demonstrates. Occasionally He shows us gifts we didn’t know we possessed throughout our worst moments.
It’s never too late for any of us, as Diana discovered her ability at the age of 87. An 87-year-old mesmerizes a crowd with her first piano song.
