Angelina Jolie fans criticize the star’s ‘unflattering’ Vogue Mexico cover: ‘She looks terribly sad!’

Fans of Angelina Jolie expressed disappointment with her new Vogue Mexico cover, stating that the actress appeared “sad”.

The Gia actor, 49, appeared on the cover of the magazine’s December edition when she spoke about releasing her “secret grief” in reference to her breakup with ex-husband Brad Pitt, 60.

Jolie and her film star husband divorced following a disputed incident on a plane in 2016. In her interview, she talked about how she used her impending role as opera diva Maria Callas in a new biopic to cope with her sorrow.

Photographed by Dan Martensen, the cover featured Jolie in a black Christian Dior outfit, her melancholic countenance and flowing chocolate hair creating a melancholic image.

Fans criticized the ‘unflattering’ cover, with one adding, ‘She seems incredibly unhappy here, like she got the worst possible news immediately before she stepped on set.’

‘These seem like outtakes. It takes skill to make Angelina Jolie appear this horrible, commented another user on the FashionSpot site.

‘Not good,’ another individual commented.

‘That’s a rather unpleasant photo of Angelina Jolie. Not her finest angle. That being said, I appreciate the colors and the simplicity of it all.

Another reviewer stated that the photograph appeared to be low-budget.

Others admired the image’s rawness.

‘I adore the notion of Angelina Jolie as a cover star. At least, publications did not alter her face!

In her interview, Angelina discussed her most recent role and how opera allowed her to explore the ‘deeper aspects of myself’ and life as she learned to ‘access a new part of herself’ to sing.

“I had to take a deep breath and let it all out, and in between, I had to let out my true voice…” she explained.

‘There’s something about these magnificent pieces of music that prevents you from singing until you can access a specific part of yourself.’

In court docs, Angelina claims Brad attacked her and several of their six children and threw wine and beer on them in a fury. He has consistently denied being aggressive against her or the family.

She stated, ‘I hadn’t realized how much we have in our bodies, how much we carry throughout our lives, and how all of this changes and impacts our sound and voice.

“And I don’t just mean the audible part of our voice, but our true voice, the way we communicate with one another.”

Angelia, who spent six months learning how to sing for the film, looked stunning as she posed for a series of seductive pictures for the accompanying shoot.

When she changed into her second attire, she chose a stylish, plunging square-neck dress, followed by a brown fur coat.

Maria, which has already created Oscar talk since the trailer’s premiere, will have a limited theatrical release in the United States on November 27 before becoming available on Netflix on December 11.

The first trailer for the film, which portrays the life of legendary opera singer Maria Callas, debuted last week.

The film begins in the soprano’s final days and reflects on all of her accomplishments and tragedies. On September 16, 1977, Callas died from a heart attack at her Paris residence. She was 53.

It follows reports that Pitt is arranging an intimate Thanksgiving celebration with his girlfriend Ines de Ramon despite his alienation from his and Jolie’s children.
