Amber Heard has been decompressing in Spain following the spectacle that was her court lawsuit against actor Johnny Depp. And it looks like Heard has found a safe haven outside of the borders of the United States of America. Heard and her one-year-old daughter, Oonagh Paige Heard, are presently in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Heard and her daughter are presently staying with Bianca Butti, a Hollywood writer, producer, and cinematographer who also prefers to live in Spain, free from the restrictions of the United States of America.
Depp has traveled the world since winning the slander lawsuit many months ago. Meanwhile, Heard has been living in seclusion with a friend in Spain. She has been kept out of the spotlight since the trial, attempting to focus on her kids and live her life.
Heard is currently in financial difficulty. Heard is required to pay $8.3 million as a result of the judgment, which favored Depp. She is presently appealing the case and aims to have the amount of money she may be due lowered or eliminated entirely from the judgment.
Heard’s chances of escaping the $8.3 million penalty for losing the defamation case against Johnny Depp appear to be slim. One judge has already refused her appeal request. Heard had requested that the trial be declared a mistrial and that the proceedings be repeated in front of a broadcast audience as if it were the first time.
On July 1, 2022, Heard filed his request to appeal. Heard’s legal team stated in the appeal filing that there were inconsistencies in the jury. They maintained that there were enough differences between the people called to serve on the jury and the ones who actually served on the trial to overturn the present result, which goes against Heard.
Heard appears to be doing nothing while she licks her wounds in Spain. Instead, she is simply enjoying her time in the Mediterranean Sea country and spending time with her infant daughter, Oonagh Paige Heard. She’s also having a lot of fun with her pal Butti, who has a few titles as a director of various films to her name.
Heard’s most recent performances in Hollywood were in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and In the Fire, which has completed filming and are currently in post-production.
Meanwhile, her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, is still very successful in Hollywood. He is set to appear in the new Netflix film La Favorite.
In addition, he is working on a new Pirates of the Caribbean picture. He will also feature in Fantastic Beasts 3: The Crimes of Grindelwald. So it appears that Heard and Depp are OK without each other. Depp, on the other hand, looks to be on a roll following his court triumph.
