Following the death of a one-year-old kid who was left in a scorching hot car in Sydney, a Queensland daycare facility has issued advice to other childcare facilities.
During high temperatures in Australia, little Olivia Ancelet found herself stuck in a sweltering car when her father forgot she was in the back.
Etienne Ancelet only noticed his daughter, who had just turned one in December, was still in the car after driving to her childcare facility in Earlwood, a Sydney suburb, to pick her up at 5.35 pm.
However, he was informed that Olivia had never been left off in the first place, and he ran out to his car, only to discover his daughter’s lifeless body still inside.
Emergency personnel rushed to the site, but Olivia was tragically declared dead.

At a news conference on Tuesday (February 4), New South Wales Police Superintendent Christine McDonald stated, “Leaving a kid in a car at any time may be risky. Leaving a youngster in a car for a lengthy amount of time can be fatal.
“This is an absolute tragedy.”
Emily’s Early Learning in Ipswich, Queensland, which is not the daycare Olivia attended, has since spoken out about the event.
They described the occurrence as ‘an awful catastrophe’ and stated, “R.I.P. lovely child. I can’t imagine how painful it must be to grieve the loss of your kid.
I will ALWAYS inform parents by 10 a.m. if their children have not arrived at daycare on the scheduled days. I wish this was true for all suppliers.”
Following the terrible event, Olivia’s parents spoke to the press and paid respect to their daughter.
They told news.com.au: “Olivia was a sweet and beautiful baby who was the light of our lives.”
“We are humbled and appreciative of our time with her. We are horrified by what has happened.
“We do not wish this on any parent.”
The pair said, “We will always remember our time with our darling child. Everyone who knew her admired her. It is an unthinkable period of grief for us.”
A police inquiry is continuing. There have been no charges filed.
