Barbara Corcoran of “Shark Tank” said she likes not to waste money — or miles — by flying first class, and she has some techniques for making economy seem like royalty.
In an interview with Bloomberg, the 74-year-old real estate mogul revealed that she hardly ever flies first class on the 30 to 40 excursions she does each year. According to Bloomberg, her excursions regularly collect hundreds of thousands of miles, which she says would be better spent on family.
“First class makes me feel snobbish, and I can’t justify the extra prices,” Corcoran explained. “As for the miles, I’d fly my family across the nation sooner than use them for an upgrade.” I
Instead, she makes an effort to make the economy class feel more comfortable by bringing some of her own comforts on the plane. According to Bloomberg, these are some of her recommendations for feeling more gorgeous.

Packing nice nibbles and a bottle of wine for the ride is part of Corcoran’s secret to dining like a queen in coach.
“I always go through the same motions. Corcoran told Bloomberg, “I bring my own excellent food: a couple of cheeses, generally hard salami, and really fine artisan crackers that aren’t sloppy.”
According to the story, her wine of preference is a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc purchased at the airport. For dessert, she suggested a fresh, fragrant orange that “everyone envies.”
Corcoran sets up her tray with a tiny tablecloth and a genuine wine glass to complement her presentation of various snacks.
“I usually carry two really nice napkins — one for my tray and one for my lap — and a genuine wine glass,” she told Bloomberg.

Corcoran loves to spend time when flying by playing a classic game of Scrabble.
Another crucial thing she will need during her travels is a portable board. “There’s usually a Scrabble player around, and they’re happy to spend the time that way.”
Corcoran added. According to the creator of the Corcoran Group, it’s as simple as asking the two folks next to you, “Hey, do you play Scrabble?”
