Negativity will not pull Bebe Rexha down.
After a video of the “I’m Good (Blue)” singer replying to a body-shaming comment during a recent Instagram Live stream went viral earlier this week, she reacted on Thursday, Feb. 27, assuring fans she’s “unbothered” by the online discourse.
While in Dubai for a charity concert, Rexha, 35, went live on Instagram and read aloud comments from fans, including one that stated she looked “like Marilyn Monroe after she ate Lizzo.”

Other individuals in the room gasped when she read the statement, and the Grammy-nominated performer responded, “Honestly, who cares?” That’s a f—ing hater that is bored with their existence.”
A screen clip of the live feed rapidly went viral, causing Rexha to reply with a front-facing video uploaded on Instagram Stories. “I recently returned from Dubai. I organized a wonderful charity event. It was very amazing,” she remarked, noting that it had been a “very long time” since her previous live chat.
“When I got back last night, my pals were like, ‘Have you seen the video that is going viral?’ So I go look at the tape and read the comments because I’m curious,” she said. “You guys were really friendly and supportive of me. But I’d want to mention a few things.

“Number one, I am unconcerned. Number two, I am extremely conscious of everything. I know I’ve gained weight. I understand that I have gone through a lot. “I know that people know my songs but not my name, and I haven’t received the recognition I deserve,” Rexha concluded.
“But instead of letting that all break me down, it’s actually made me feel more powerful,” she told me. “I’ve been working on new music, and I’ve been putting it into my music.”
Rexha closed the video by saying she did not want followers to “feel bad” for her. “I promise you I feel stronger than ever,” she told me. “And I love you.”
In a May 2024 interview with PEOPLE, the “Meant to Be” star discussed feeling “confident” and “comfortable” as she embarked on a “new chapter” in music.

“I’ve been through so much in the last X number of years that most people are unaware of, and I believe I’ve finally come to terms with a lot of it.” I finally feel excited and alive,” she explained.
At the time, Rexha also mentioned going through “a lot of therapy” after a breakup and improving her physical health. “I’ve been working out a lot and trying to do things that are better for me, things that make me happy,” she told the reporter.
“You feel so much sexier and better when your clothes fit better, and you just feel happier,” said Rexha, who was seen snuggling up with partner Simos Liakos on an August 2024 trip to Italy.
