According to the New York Police Department, a jogger in Central Park found a body that was in the process of decomposing on Friday. The body was located behind the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
According to a statement obtained from NYPD Sergeant Jessica McRorie, a pedestrian allegedly found the deceased inside a tent at the intersection of 79th Street and East Drive on Friday about noon local time. The statement was obtained from McRorie.
According to the statement, a worker from the Parks Department alerted the police about the “possible skeletal remains.”
Officers saw human bone remains upon their arrival, however the body could not be identified for identification purposes.
According to police and officials who were quoted by The New York Post, the municipal medical examiner concluded that the bones, which were “mostly skeletal” when they were found, were in a “highly degraded state.”
This was the conclusion reached after the bodies were found.
UpperEastSide.com was informed by a number of local residents that a homeless man had been living in a camp in the vicinity of the location where the decomposed body was found.

Later on in the video, the three individuals are seen placing the black bag inside of a white van.
The individual is believed to have passed away due to natural causes, according to a representative for the police department who spoke with both the New York Daily News and The Sun.
It does not appear to be criminal in nature; the cause of death looks to be natural, according to a spokesman, as reported by The Sun. Yet, the conclusions of the medical examiner need to be anticipated…
