Two Bodies Discovered in a Submerged Vehicle in a Houston Bayou Had Been There for Hours, Police Say. You won’t believe it when you see what happened to them…

The Houston Police Department is looking into how a vehicle that was seen driving into the Brays Bayou at three in the morning on Monday was not reported until the afternoon of the same day.

The authorities in Houston are looking into the circumstances that purportedly led a vehicle that was carrying two men to drive into a bayou early on the morning of Halloween.

It is believed that the automobile entered the Brays Bayou at approximately three in the morning local time on Monday, although the incident was not reported until the afternoon.

The gray Toyota Camry was traveling northbound on Wilcrest Drive when it “left the roadway” and “struck the concrete edge of a rail” before rolling into the Brays Bayou, as stated in a press statement issued by the Houston Police Department (HPD).

On Monday about noon, officers from the Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division were performing a traffic check when they were informed of the location of the car in the bayou, as stated by Sergeant S. Jewell and A. Mares of the division.

In the press statement that Mares sent on Tuesday, he stated, “A witness reported hearing a loud noise about 3 in the morning.”

KHOU, a CBS affiliate, said that the wrecked automobile was found buried underneath an overpass at the intersection of Wilcrest Drive and Beechnut Street.

On Monday, just before 2:30 in the afternoon, a dive crew was able to retrieve the vehicle from the bayou, as stated by the HPD. Within the vehicle, the bodies of the driver and a passenger were found unresponsive.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the Harris County Department of Forensic Sciences had not made any public confirmations on the identities of the fatalities.

The reason for the crash has not been determined. Investigation being conducted by the Houston police department.

According to the local ABC affiliate KTRK, Lieutenant Michael Hroch was quoted as saying that determining what took place has been challenging due to the fact that there have been very few witnesses.

Hroch stated that “We do not have any actual witnesses at the scene, hence it is difficult to piece things together at this moment.” This was highlighted in the report.
